Documents to Take With You

* You must present government issued photo identification, such as driver’s license, passport or state I.D. card when you check in. No other form of I.D. will be accepted.
* Without the proper I.D, you will not be able to board the plane. If you don’t have the proper I.D., call your airline or checkout their Web site to see if they’ll accept alternative I.D. Exception: children traveling on domestic flights do not need this I.D. form if the accompanying adult verifies their identity. (FAA)
* A valid ticket and the name on that ticket must match the name on the I.D. exactly.
* If you’re traveling on an e-ticket, you’ll need some form of paperwork from the airline in addition to an e-ticket number to be allowed through the security checkpoint.
* You’ll need a passport for international travel. The name on your passport must match the name on your ticket exactly. Bring your certified marriage certificate if a recent marriage has changed your name. File for a new passport as soon as possible.
* Check with the countries you’ll be visiting as to what types of documentation you’ll need for entry and exit.
* Remember: All travel documents are ultimately your responsibility. The airline cannot make exceptions to governmental law.

Visas and Passports
* Go to http://www.embassyworld.com/. It’s a searchable database of all the embassies of the world. Find the country you’re going to find out what’s required.
* Visit www.travel.state.gov/foreignentryreqs.html, the U.S. State Department Bureau of Consular Affairs’ Foreign Entry Requirement Web page, which lists the entry requirements of foreign countries. It also includes the addresses and telephone numbers of foreign embassies and consulates in the U.S.
